As the Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu) approaches on May 31, we at SUNLUX extend our heartfelt wishes for health and happiness.
About Dragon Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival, known as Duanwu Jie, is one of China's oldest traditional holidays, celebrated annually on the fifth day of the fifth Chinese calendar month.
Its origins trace back over 2,000 years to ancient southern China, where it began as a dragon totem worship ceremony among the Baiyue people. Later, it became widely associated with commemorating the patriotic poet Qu Yuan, who, according to legend, drowned himself in the Miluo River on this day. Traditional customs include dragon boat racing, eating zongzi, and hanging mugwort to ward off evil.
In 2009, the festival was recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
To embrace this cultural heritage, our team gathered to craft zongzi, share festive games, and strengthen our bonds.
May this season bring you peace, prosperity, and a deeper appreciation for enduring traditions.
